![]() ![]() The grips rate in about Good overall condition. ![]() The flanks and lower edges have gouges and scrapes. The stock has rounded chip losses at the toe of the grip frame and at the frame itself, with a thin coat of varnish re-applied a very long time ago. Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a one piece varnished walnut stock, showing a carved “N” on the butt’s right side, the other markings are obscured with multiple nail head holes and abrasive marks. The rear sight is a “V” notch on top of the hammer. Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead, screwed into the barrel. The butt of the grip frame has “RHE” hand scribed into the surface and appears to be about as old as the gun itself. The left of the frame is marked “COLT’S / PATENT”, the left of the trigger guard frame is marked “36 CAL”, the forward left of the trigger guard bow is marked “U”. The underside of the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard plate, toe of the trigger guard frame’s butt, underside of the barrel wedge, loading lever and cylinder pin are marked correctly for the serial number.
